Kerch bridge is down again

https://theatlasnews.co/conflict/2023/07/16/kerch-bridge-collapse-following-explosions/

At approximately 2024 EST, reports began to emerge of at least two explosions in the sky over Kerch, Crimea. At 2104 EST, locals began to report on social media that a general alarm had sounded for all civilians to clear the bridge and evacuate the area.

At 2125 EST, Republic of Crimea Head Aksyonov confirmed the bridge had been shut down and law enforcement agencies were on scene. Although no fire was reported, he did announce that a partial bridge collapse had occurred around the 145th support beam. By 2140 EST, local media reported that at least two had been killed in the collapse.

This is developing.

(Link to really bad pics at Twitter at article. Apparently bot the road and the rail bridge are closed)

Some supports were seen with cracks, https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/crimean-bridge-is-falling-down-cracks-appear-on-its-pillars-photos/ar-AA1bZyS8

It usually takes more than 8 months of exposure to sea water to get this stuff to fall under its own weight, and usually concrete falls off, it doesn't just show cracks and then fall all at once.

It allows Russia to deny that Ukraine can and will hit anything and everything in Crimea. Until they do.

I wonder if Putin's gonna stroke out this time.

However, you know they're going to deny it.

to be decommissioned and replaced not two days ago, not tomorrow, but today. Dropping into the Kerch' Strait was the economical and ecologically best way of doing it--no greenhouse emissions were produced in the disposal of that debris.

It's not All-Wise Odin, it's All-Wise Putin.

because whoever was taking them must've been drunk on his ass and it was dark, but it looked like both sides of the roadway were down, 2 spans of it, much worse than the damage last fall.
