How deep does the rabbit hole go?. He's actually running for president again.

President Abraham Lincoln was shot and killed. President James Garfield was shot and killed. President William Mckinley was shot and killed. President John Kennedy was shot and killed.

Yet, we've had a president who said he could shoot and kill someone on 5th Ave. and still get elected. And he actually did get elected. Can he do it again?

Four murdered presidents, and one who thinks he can commit murder and get away with it. Is this a fucked up world, or what?

The fact that he's the assumed Republican presidential nominee is sick beyond reason. And the fact that he could actually win/steal a second term is so fucking unimaginable as to be in the realm of science fiction.

Yet, here we are, looking at the possibility of the virtually impossible actually coming about.

I mean, really. Stop for a moment and try to wrap your mind around this insanity. America is seriously broken.

I have long believed that there need to be stated qualifications in order to run for/hold the office of POTUS.
Simple things like being able to pass a citizenship exam similar to the ones immigrants take in order to obtain citizenship.
A basic understanding of world and US history.

The ability to obtain a top secret security clearance. NOT BEING INDICTED FOR TRYING TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT.
Being a natural born citizen and over the age of 35 is just not quite enough.

the age of Constitutional loophole exploitation when he said "what if...we simply don't confirm the open SCOTUS seat?"
It's blindingly obvious: no framer of any country, country club, or country fried steak joint would consciously allow someone to be re-hired in a job where they committed crimes specific and unique TO THAT JOB.
(Here I digress, but no founder would ever allow for this insane proliferation of military weapons and the ever-increasing sacrifice of schoolchildren.)
Lots of things the founders didn't think of are being exploited, and watching the GOP is like watching a smarty-ass middle school kid who is eminently self-satisfied because he figured out a way to steal milk from the cafeteria. Hell, he doesn't even like milk! But he is oh-so clever, and that's enough.
43% of our fellow citizens are dangerously irresponsible people and I've said it before, I'll say it again: we've been far too tolerant over the years of shitty conservative ideas, tactics, and posture. I've disowned family members over this and others have cast me out in protest of my hard lines. Oh well! Doing what you have to do is nothing to regret.

Mitch publicly announced, on the day before Obama's first inauguration, that congressional GOPers would obstruct every Obama effort; it was a stunningly loud dogwhistle to all bigots and racist organizations, inviting them out of the shadows, and they have been answering that invitation ever since. It can be argued that without McConnell Trump wouldn't even have made it past the primaries. The McConnell stench will emanate from the federal bench for generations, as the nation endeavors to survive the slippery slope McConnell engineered.

The problem is the propaganda. Right wing propaganda has rotted more minds than any amount of crack, heroin, and LSD ever would or could. It's time to start fixing this.

as I am concerned he did kill many people by his inaction with Covid and how he played it down. He didn’t want people to test to see if they have Covid because it might show there are more people who have it. What an evil idiot.

A man who incited people to attack the Capitol. A man who put himself and his re-election above everything else no matter the Oath he took when he decided to lie to the American people and call a deadly virus he knew to be deadly a hoax. A man who let over 1,000,000 American die because he wanted to “play it down” so people would not take the precautions to save their lives and hurt the precious economy that the gop routinely tanks every time they are in office anyphuckingway.

1,000,000+

Then he told 100’s to March on the Capitol on 6Jan to get at congress and not to say thanks either but hurt people and stop certifying the election. Another man just got 18 yrs for trying to stop certification but our AG wants a do over on the 18 yr sentencing while he lets trump sally forth and run for president again… when he should have done his job and arrested DT yrs ago as any other person who killed 1,000,000+ Americans, attacked the Capitol and stole 100’s of top secret documents. That DT remain free is all one need look at to know…we are broken.

I think the biggest thing feeding into any fear people are feeling now is the complete lack of accountability, it’s like no one gives two shakes, lotta talk…no action.

How the hell is that Orange Blob performing a ballet Center Stage dressed in a tutu made of top secret documents and getting away with it? MAGA citizens love authoritarian venues, no thinking required…do as you’re told… we’ll figure it out for you…carry on.

Every single maga repub has betrayed their oath of office and should be thrown out of D.C.. Fuck voting them out they did not live up to an oath they took, march them out, now!

MAGA repubs have been taking over the grassroots, putting people in places that could cause problems. Voting rights are being skewed the effects are yet to be quantified. Will sheer turnout power victory?…each side is hoping it does.

I awoke that day, powered up the machine and clicked on Huffington Post bookmark saw the headline “NIGHTMARE” Trump elected president. I got physically sick and threw up on the spot.
That feeling didn’t leave for four fucking years. Don’t think I can do another four, he won’t live to do eight and if he does I’ll be gone…too old for a return of this shit.

Old, elderly, wizened, words that signify the shop may be closing. Also signifies a life that may have been well lived. I’ve made signs, I’ve marched, protested, I’ve fought for rights that changed peoples lives, I’ve lost friends fighting for those causes. I see those rights being cancelled, a lifetime of work and worry stomped on in a minute. I can’t even cry anymore, tears have no meaning.

I’m not giving up, thank you all for letting me rant all these disjointed comments.

That way, he can use the excuse of "running for President" to stop all potential criminal and civil cases against him. After all, it wouldn't be fair since he's running for office. So political!
