because after eating all the glades small gators, mammals (rabbits, raccoons, small deer, and bobcats) the pythons evidently dont like the taste of rat meat, which has exploded the rat population because all the predators are now gone.
If Florida is lucky, the new rat overlords will have a taste for Everglades escargot.

(14,743 posts)* Grilled filet of rat,
* Escargot in Bearnaise sauce,
* BBQ python tenderloin,
* Red tide and fire ant cocktail with olive, and
* Mar-a-Lardo faux chocolate cake for desert......
Hell, I thought Florida already had rat overlords courtesy of the Florida GOP and two competing for the title of King Rat.
I never cease to be amazed at the destruction mankind has wrought.

(2,855 posts)she might have been able to compose a good horror story from this.
A known snail aficionado, Ms. Highsmith wrote some some fine horror stories back in the day. My personal favorite was "The Quest for Blank Claveringi" which featured giant snails.

I also seem to recall participants in Naked and Afraid doing meals of proteineous snails, vermin, and snakes. Something to watch for in their future medical histories...Ewwwww...
