Samuel L. Jackson says he sees in Trump the 'same rednecks' from his childhood

Samuel L. Jackson says he sees in former President Trump the “same rednecks” who hurled racist slurs at him as a kid.

“When I grew up in segregation, I knew which white people didn’t want to be bothered with me and I knew how they felt about me,” the “Pulp Fiction” actor said in an interview with The Daily Beast published Tuesday.

“When I see Trump, I see the same rednecks I saw when I was growing up… [who] tried to keep me in my place,” Jackson said, using a racist insult that he said was directed at him.

“That’s what the Republican Party is to me,” the 74-year-old performer, who was raised in Tennessee, said.

"They're stealing your jobs" is less effective when "nobody wants to work anymore".

Law and order is less effective when he's been twice impeached, twice indicted, lost lawsuits, etc.

They're generally older and their life expectancy isn't what it used to be. All thanks to 4 decades of voting against their own interests. I have little sympathy.

Born in DC, he grew up in Chattanooga. Just across the border from MTG's GA-14 district. Though Chattanooga has improved significantly over the years, the surrounding area is still....well....Jackson said it better than I.
