The problem isn't Trump, it's with his anti-American followers

Trump says he will run even if convicted. The founding fathers never thought that would be a problem because they believed their fellow citizens would never knowingly support a criminal traitor.

Anti American is the best way to describe the MAGA movement. They hate America, it’s laws, and it’s system of government.

He should have been laughed off the stage in the 2016 GOP primaries. They failed that test, but they could have defended the rule of law in this country by voting to impeach him in early 2020. The second impeachment for the violent coup attempt on Jan. 6, 2021, which endangered all of them, should have been a no-brainer, but again, very few Republicans took advantage of the opportunity to finally do the right thing.
