I was there for Bill Clinton's third Gridiron, and his speech was hilarious and absolutely masterful. He absolutely had the room howlibng with laughter. At one point, Newt Gingrich, who was Speaker, and sitting next to my mom, leaned over to her and told her that anyone who thought Bill Clinton would be a pushover in his re-election fight (the following year) was deluding themselves.
