These people refuse to believe the reality of gradual development from conception. One of them told me on Facebook that I was only making up the word zygote to pretend that the baby is not real. Another said that just because the baby did not grow big yet, that does not mean it is not real. They believe in the old idea of the homunculus, the tiny complete person from conception. They refuse to believe that the product of conception is only a few simple cells, or that over half of these blastulas are flushed out of the womb after conception.
