Check the background on both. Not disputing the snow, just the location.

As much background. The dark tree over the left end of the left outhouse is the same. Also, the snow highlights background features you can't really see when it' covered with foliage. The snowfield on the slope behind the one on the right matches the green photo.

A pair of outhouses and a sign.

The background mountains aren't there. but it could be cloud cover...

It looks like the snow comes up to within a foot of the peak of the gable roof. The person taking the shot is almost looking down at the roof. The mountains are out of view because they are above the frame of the picture.

If the snow picture was taken at the same place as the original ...
all you'd see would be white. The camera would be under the snow cover.

The angle of the photo is slightly changed, but the profile of the mountain in the snow shot matches the top photo if zoomed in to the left and aimed more down.

The posts and the roofs of the structures are viewed from a position above the snowless photo. Looks like about an eight foot difference.
