The participants were taking credit while blaming Antifa. Odd that. The participants did not stop others from doing crimes. They did not police their own. They didn't tell others that building a scaffold was a bad idea. They rioted and looted and destroyed things and they did not pause to consider the damage or violence. They advocated death for the other side. Even members of their side that held to the law and stayed back, did not hold others to the law.
The twisted logic they held to was a twisted logic that required a lack of examination. They were brainwashed, but they were also the lowest fruit for the brain-washers to pick. They were, like Manson's family wanting to start an uprising and blame others.
When they say WOKE and cannot define it, they know what woke means. They know that it is hateful to be against it. When confronted, they dig in. When asked they disseminate.
In the South we have been taught that scalawags were all to a man absolutely evil. Turns out it was an earlier term for woke. Consider all of the lies and violence produced by revisionist racist historians. It's not a new thing. When they say heritage not hate, the evidence is clear. Hate is the heritage. Their history places all blame on others.
The correct response to a woke accusation is a racist realization. On Jan 6 they were already blaming the folk that stood up against violent racism. They were ready to place the blame on woke people while trying to reserve their credit for having done so.
Like a terrorist, right now the right is saying it will be the fault of woke Liberals when the violence and destruction they are planning happens. Keep you cell phones ready to record. I think it will fizzle, but it is hard to predict the violently insane.

(958 posts)I think it was part of the plan. They were counting on counter-protesters being there as pretext for escalation, but literally everyone (except law enforcement somehow) knew what was up and actively discouraged others from going.

(2,617 posts)The right does nothing without blaming others and twisting words. At the top the blame is planned, but at the bottom the blame is instinctive and intentional at the same time.
Going back to the previous bastards, Bush, Cheney and PNAC thought they could take on the world. All they needed was a cause and they could start stealing everything. Piles of cash large enough to be seen from space were stolen. Lives were lost. Honor flung away.
When they pointed fingers at terrorists, while using terrorist tactics, "Shock and Awe," waterboarding and the like, they were taking over oil fields that were never theirs. Yes there were terrorists, but the terrorists were from a country that was on their side. The terrorists included Bush, Cheney and PNAC. When they calculated that they needed to discredit French evidence against the war, their followers instantly and instinctively obeyed the call for hatred.
