Plus, they were recording what was going on. It's almost as if they wanted a confrontation.
I will say that if a couple of guys were to shovel my sidewalk I would not be remotely concerned what color they are, but would hope to be able to offer them some hot to drink.

(26,166 posts)They're clearing the public sidewalks for him. He lives there and has every right to walk on cleared sidewalks, and how nice of his sons to clear them, both for him and his neighborhood. Nasty bigot down the street is the one who needs to go back inside and get over it.
eta - This isn't the first time she's called the police on them for doing this. They were nice enough not to have her arrested today (the cops offered) but to let the police tell her that if she does it again, they are going to press charges. That sounds pretty fair, considering.

Not to say it wasnt racial. But her actions were clearly odd.

(55,705 posts)i can understand that the police may be reluctant to charge people with calling the police unnecessarily, because they do want people to call if they're legitimately uncertain as to whether or not it's an emergency. so they usually give warnings first. yeah, this case was pretty blatant but at least there's an argument for only giving a warning.
but going out of your way to deliberately put snow on a public sidewalk is inexcusable under any circumstances. there's no basis for a warning first.
