Lawrence really cleared it up on why it is not a constitutional protection for Pence.
Basically that Pence is not a member of Congress.

He made a fool of himself the other day at the house investigation into twitter stealing the election.

...unless we calmly accept that the only righteous and civilized thing to do is to accept that it simply must take weeks or months for the courts sort these things out.
It's either that or civilization collapses into roving lynch mobs and dogs and cats living together in sin.
