And so it seems that the DOJ refuses to compromise its work in order to appease Gym Jordan about investigations regarding President Biden, January 6th and any Congressional involvement as such. It appears Gym Jordan is being told in an eloquent manner....."Fuck off"Source:CNN
The Justice Department signaled Friday its unlikely to share information about ongoing criminal investigations with the new GOP-controlled House, in a move thats certain to frustrate Republicans in the chamber.
In a letter to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan responding to a flurry of document requests, the DOJ said that any oversight requests must be weighed against the departments interests in protecting the integrity of its work.
The letter added: The Departments mission to independently and impartially uphold the rule of law requires us to maintain the integrity of our investigations, prosecutions, and civil actions, and to avoid even a perception that our efforts are influenced by anything but the law and the facts.

(23 posts)might honor the subpoenas, but won't talk about ongoing investigations, even in closed door sessions.

(30,053 posts)it will never indict a sitting member of Congress, the only possibility is Scott Perry.
The DOJ has indicted sitting members before. According to the Washington Post, more than two dozen since 1980. Jim Trafficant was a big one; he refused to resign, even after he was convicted, and the full House voted to expel him. I remember when this happened. There was a Republican guy from NY indicted during the tRump years another from CA, I think, and another Repuke indicted and convicted last term on campaign finance charges.
So, it seems to me, theres plenty of precedence for indictments. Dont give up hope. The wheels of justice may turn too slowly for our tastes, but they do turn.
