Data mining shifts to high gear at Twitter?

Anyone else notice a massive uptick in questions that seems designed to tease-out your demographic profile?
How old were you when (insert movie name here) came out?
Did you ever see Jaws as a first run movie a the theater?
Are you old enough to have used cassette tapes for music?
Lists of items you've done/eaten/used?
What food is your city/state best known for?

Seems like it's gone wild since the first of the year.
Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not mining data. (lol).

When you use a free online service, you/your data are the product.

I.e., choose "following" at the top of the home page. Those I follow talk about their fields and seldom mention Twitter itself, so I have to learn about what's going on from posts here and information media.

Btw, I "follow" dozens of people well regarded by others well regarded in their fields and none of them have left yet, though some have accounts up on other platforms.

And I got a notice from my AAA security data monitoring that my Twitter account has been hacked and my email exposed to the dark web. Before Musk took over I never had this type of warning ever.

found out I was part of last data breach. They didn't get much because I only read and followed people and never gave them private info, but they got my email and password.

I had been thinking of quitting last 6 months and that was last straw.
