Parker Molloy: I get that the GOP likes to pretend that MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech is a call for

colorblindness (it's not), citing the "content of their character" line, but here's a little secret:

If you're the type of person who feels the need to cling to that line, free from context, then the "content of your character" is pretty apparent, and it's not looking good for you.

However, IF you see the person first and all the rest are details....

What do you call that?

I love the diversity of the people in the World. How boring if we were all the same.

I see the color of people's skin, but that doesn't tell me who they are.

People are people and there is good and bad in every race and ethnicity, so it's their actions that tell the truth about who they are.
