It doesn't have to be all doom and gloom

Yeah, they hold the House and Qevin has the gavel. But so what? They’ve got a razor thin majority. We’ve got the Senate, we’ve got the White House. The MAGAt agenda is going nowhere in Washington.

It might not be great, but it doesn’t have to be awful. Give me this over 2017/2018 any day.

The real worry is when the debt ceiling comes up in a few months.

They're going to try and shut down the government. This was merely a test run.

Shutting down government isn’t a new tactic on their end. We don’t cave to bullies.

The MORONS who tune into Faux will get plenty of fire & brimstone to get them all riled up.

If not for my parents being alive and elderly, I'd be making plans to leave this country because it's all downhill from here.

America does deserve it though. This is exactly what the voters who put repubs in charge wanted. We're Pathetic.

They rejected the investigations into Clinton in 1998. What’s to say they can’t reject a frivolous impeachment against Biden in 2024?

Subpoenas works two ways.

Good enough for you, good enough for everyone else.

You opened that can of worms, r thugs. You can eat them now.

How do you propose we overcome obstinate refusal to pass any bill to raise the debt ceiling, or feigned willingness to pass such a bill, but only with outrageous poison pills like ending Social Security or a nation-wide abortion ban?

To agree with them to raise it?

That's better odds than the r thugs have of getting the majority to vote to make Qevin vacate his Speaker's gavel.

Concentrating on the neighbors barbecue party while ignoring the fast approaching forest fire is not wise.

As fast as conditions are changing, it's likely those of us here aged mid 60s and younger may live to see the beginnings of the worst of it.
