https://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/first-read/nbc-news-poll-democrats-catch-gop-enthusiasm-rcna55859The final national NBC News poll of the 2022 midterms finds a highly competitive campaign landscape ahead of Election Day. While Democrats have pulled even with Republicans in enthusiasm, President Joe Biden remains unpopular, and voters express deep dissatisfaction about the state of the country.
Forty-eight percent of likely voters say they prefer a Democratic-controlled Congress as the outcome of Tuesdays elections, while 47% prefer a Republican-controlled Congress.
Thats a reversal from October, when 48% preferred a GOP-controlled Congress versus 47% who wanted Democrats in charge, although the shift is well within the polls margin of error.

(9,882 posts)Add in the Roe effect and Trump's abhorrent extremist road show for all to see, along with the early-voting advantage, and this match-up is far from over!

(43,310 posts)This has been true of a vast number of the polls we've seen this year; the margin of error is seldom mentioned in any of the media's reports (until the very bottom, at least).
The only poll that matters will be tallied after it closes Tuesday. If you haven't done so yet--get out and vote!!

(11,201 posts)...American females (and American males in relationships with those females a/o those that have daughters) would vote for a party that wants to ban abortion, reproductive healthcare, and family planning Nationally. Taking away freedoms will cascade if the GOP gets back in power, especially as GOP primary winner nominees are tending to support their version of Christian theocracy in which all matters are decided by the monied ruling, primarily white, class and all others must obey or be threatened and suffer the consequences.

(17,034 posts)They might not like Biden for various reasons ranging from "not doing enough" to "doing too much" and everything in between.
People might be mad about the rising cost of everything, too.
But they can also recognize that not everything they don't like is because of Biden or Democrats. In other words, presidential approval/disapproval is not necessarily a good proxy for how people will vote.

(20,697 posts)do they realize that (in my opinion) it's directed at GQP as well. As to being unpopular, Pres Biden is doing pretty well considering the constant trashing by the corporate media wherein they rarely mention his accomplishments and yet Democrats are doing well considering media boasting about "red wave" for over a year.
Damn.
