(96,882 posts)I've seen complaints about every major news outlet: network, cable, print...in my opinion, some people are far too sensitive of any story or opinion they don't like.

(16,374 posts)this supposed huge change at CNN. I watch it rather regularly and most hosts are still calling out Republican lies. They did cancel a good show and let go a good correspondent but other than that they seem the same as ever to me.

(20,349 posts)He being very popular on that channel. From what I have read about him, he is NOT right wing at all.
He does CBS 60 Minutes as a side gig for investigative stories.

(1,084 posts)I am guessing that they have figured out that they can steal the Fox audience ---it will be interesting to see what advertisers will come over as well---

(28,246 posts)Bad business decision if CNN thought the brainwashed FOX loyalists would ever move over to CNN.

It is utterly bogus.

(5,104 posts)Don't get suckered. This is a right-wing originated conspiracy theory that lacks merit.
The "evidence" for a change includes such things as Jake Tapper's comments about inviting Trump (in order to humiliate him by putting TFG in a position that is subservient to President Biden) being "clever," are being mis-characterized (and seemingly in bad faith).
Check the group-think.

(5,104 posts)I suggest looking at the evidence of who started this conspiracy theory and why.
The evidence is out there.
Scrivener7
(57,487 posts)And yes, the evidence IS out there. Again, you just seem to have missed most of it with your confirmation bias.

Just saying.

(10,772 posts)I turned to the top news sites on the web. BBC, CBC as some examples.
For following the Ukraine, for example, I developed a whole set of news links plus twitter links specific to that ongoing story. I think it is better information than anything from any US network.
I've removed CNN.com and Politico.com due to their recent right wing actions. I blocked them on twitter after tweeting some of their personalities my concerns and what I was doing about it. I've watched CNN since its beginnings.
Sometimes, I pick up local tv and get some news on a particular story that way.
I do look at the headlines on some right wing sites to get a sense of what they're they're saying at a particular moment in time.
DU.com is a major source of what is going on for me.
The shift in what is going on in the media has been a great concern for me for many years.
The next 58 days could be very important for our future. Get out there and flip some voters.

As for MSNBC - stopped Morning Scabs in 2012, I forget whether he was *extra* down against Dems that gave me a tantrum. In the heyday of my watching - especially monitored Tweety for years on an Opposition Research basis. Then did the Rachel/Keith thing, sprinkled with Lawrence. but that wore off eventually.
At the University of YouTube am getting more and better than my two degrees. Alexander, Julius, Cleo, the invention of Jesus, tons of how-to instructionals.
LICHT's wingnut swing of CNN is tanking and will bury it. He's JoeSCABS' protege from MSNBC, not COLBERT's protege. Keith says he undermined Keith and other Lib hosts at JoeSCABS' bidding. He's doomed to flame out at CNN.
