To honor Teidrich: What kind of sh*thole doctor...

... comes up with this crap?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/wellness/dr-oz-says-uninsured-dont-have-right-to-health-but-should-get-15-minute-checkups-in-festival-like-setting/ar-AA11zw3E?ocid=U483DHP&li=BBnbfcL

Dr Oz says uninsured ‘don’t have right to health’ but should get 15-minute checkups in ‘festival-like setting’

Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate Dr Mehmet Oz has said he does not believe Americans have a right to health care, but he thinks the uninsured should have access to 15-minute checkups in a “festival-like setting”.

The celebrity doctor made the eyebrow-raising comments while speaking at the National Governors Association winter meeting in 2013.

He pitched governors on the idea of working with local health providers to host 15-minute screenings "in a festival-like setting" that would be inexpensive for the state and the participating hospitals.

I'm all for a quick screen... but let's say this "festival" doctor finds something. Then what?

A lot of dangerous conditions need regular monitoring (and sometimes medication): diabetes, high blood pressure.

I imagine if you kill off the poor people, it will allow for more tax cuts for the wealthy.

It is illegal to refuse someone emergency care. Therefore we have decided it is a right. Now it’s just a question of whether we want to provide decent healthcare or not

there is a medicaid case in the works right now. do you really think this trump court will allow medicaid to stand?

the case, if i remember correctly, would allow a state to drop medicaid. that may sound terriffic to red state "conservatives' but when the nursing home calls and asks "what do you want us to do with granny?" .............

ah, here it is Health and Hospital Corp. of Marion County, Indiana v. Talevski,

Mostly southern U.S.

Doctors give their time and set up free clinics in "festival" tents. Poor people, in shit-hole states, line up to get a check-up. dental care and what not. They line up and most of the time, there are too many of them to be seen. But that's their problem. If they need medicine or follow-up, well maybe they should get off their asses and get a job.

Most surprisingly, the people shown at the festival tents were not minority people.

See? Dr. Oz was ahead of his time.

rather than wanting to help their fellow human beings. And, sadly, he's far from alone in that regard. This arrogant fuckstick, and those like him, are one of the reasons people avoid going to doctors. Who wants to have to hear that kind of shit when one is seeking help?
