Trump was hoarding documents for four years and nobody said or did anything about it.

Did they really think he was going to turn them over to the National Archives on his last day?

Several people had to know he was taking the documents and not returning them. The White House Counsel, Pat Cipollone, must have surely known. So would have the Archivist that kept a record of all the files that were checked out and went to the Oval Office. Also, the Chief of Staff would likely have known.

One would think that John Kelly and Bill Barr, in their previous positions, would also have known, as would have any previous Chiefs of Staff and the people that checked out the documents.

With the empty folders that were marked to be returned to Staff Secretary/Military Aide, someone would have known if they had not been returned, one would think?

There are a lot of players in this espionage plot, willing or unwilling, that have not yet been identified, in my opinion.

out of control everyone was in that White House!

I wish we knew the names of those overseeing the archives.

14. Trump was probably churning the documents to foreigners, and returning them. The last was a grab.

.

He couldn't just return them, especially if some of those were taken along the way.

taking documents over an extended period of time-

Could it be that Jamal Kashoggi found out that Trump had given top secret info. to the Saudis????

And, is that why he was killed & Jared/Trump let it go by as a nothing burger?? ….then Jared got 2 billion.

I think Jared Kushner sold intel to the Saudis. I think that the Trumps were at least indirectly responsible for Kashoggi's assassination.

The MSM yaps about Hunter Biden's laptop and ignores the $2 billion paper trail from the Saudis to Kushner.

5. And we'd heard that Jared Kushner was selling them.

What does the media think Jared did for $2 billion payment from the Saudis?

Thank you for this ..... it serves as the perfect example of how, when we really think about the implications, this is worse than we thought when the news that the FBI were exercising the warrant was first reported.

13. A lesson in POWER. And reminder that elections have consequences.

Next time someone says the voters have no power, this inaction can be pointed to as an outstanding example of the power of the electorate. Remember, too, that we tried to remove tRump twice with bullet-proof cases, but his supporters in and out of congress said no, as he told them to. Power.

As for the people you name, they're all corrupt, and most, perhaps all, are religious-right extremists as well. They all had their own agendas, which they pursued using tRump's power, magnified by the treasonous Republicans the electorate put in control of congress. Weasels raiding the chicken house along with the fox -- with 71 million voters cheering them on and another 100 million nonvoters shruggingly complicit.

Of course what was known about tRump's possible treason and very improper handling of documents were always being discussed by concerned observers, though. Well before he, and they, actually invaded the White House.
