Bellaire residents 'frightened' after discovering antisemitic flyers in neighborhood

Bellaire is technically a separate city but is really a suburb of Houston. There are a number of temples in Bellaire and I have a good number of friends who live in Bellaire. The Jewish Community Center is located in Bellaire as well as as 2000+ family reform temple.

Bellaire residents were startled to discover a number of white supremacist flyers targeting Jewish people in their driveways over the weekend, part of a string of recent incidents across Houston.

The flyers, which were shared with the Chronicle, read "Let's Go Brandon" and "Every Single Aspect of the Biden administration is Jewish" with Jewish stars and Israeli flags next to pictures of leaders in the Biden administration and the CDC.

"To me, it was very frightening," one longtime resident said. "These people scare me. These kind of people are cowards, and they only do it in the dark of night.".....

The flyers were in plastic bags and weighted down by rocks, a trademark of the Ku Klux Klan, according to the Anti-Defamation League. A message at the bottom of the flyers said they were "distributed randomly and without malicious intent" and instructed readers to contact a particular hate group on YouTube....

Although the incident is believed to be the area's first, it's at least the fourth across Houston this year, with similar events having happened in Atascocita, Katy and the Cypress area.

I wasn't Jewish, but they welcomed everyone, and had great bagels. I remember the Jewish community in Houston with great fondness. They are wonderful people.
