(95,941 posts)Not just slush funds, but for the political points gained from appearing patriotic. They vote for others to die so they can look strong on national security. Regardless of how wrong, how immoral, and how stupid the conflict is.

(41,858 posts)He was on one of the MSNBC political shows and was on his way home from DC and stopped on the Jersey Turnpike to do an interview. He did the interview from his car.
That's a lot of time and effort to donate to this cause, and fully worth it. Not everyone would be willing to give up their personal time for such an arduous effort.
But then, he's always been a good guy.

Boy we love war. But boy we dont like to clean up the consequences. Always money for war, never money for the war-fighters.
Hope it makes people THINK.
