beyond conspiring with an administration. We also know that several of the ones protecting Obama during his time in office were, shall we say, not really willing to jump in front of a bullet for him.
Not sure how much the USSS vets these days. But, back in the late 60's one of my older brothers friends applied for a position. The neighborhood was flooded with FBI knocking on doors and asking detailed and pointed questions about him. He got the job. But, man the agents were all over it. I guess it depends on how connected you are. If your up for SCOTUS and you're a right wing arsehole no vetting required.
