Alabama church shooting: Multiple injuries, 1 in custody after active shooter

Multiple people were shot Thursday evening at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, The Vestavia Hills Police Department said.

Police were alerted to the incident at 3775 Crosshaven Drive around 6:22 p.m. Authorities are still clearing the scene.

The suspected shooter is in police custody.

3. I'm guessing the shooter is alive because he is sane and would pass

an enhanced background check. I know it is too soon for the new laws to be passed but they do not go far enough.
