While Republicans carried on this week about the urgent need for legislation to protect SCOTUS justices, they inadvertently (and stupidly) highlighted the contrast between how they react when it's 'one of their own' and their yawn, thoughts-and-prayers, shit happens reaction to the massacre of children.
Sometimes fate just steps in and writes the campaign ads for us.

(7,794 posts)The GOPers write their opponent's ads for them. Just pick a position they claim to hold and wait, usually a very short time, for the blatant contradiction. Individually and en masse, they are incapable of consistency. That is true, of course, except for their go-to venality.

(245 posts)Funny how Mitch McConnell demanded that legislation be passed TODAY to protect the Supreme Court justices. There must be no delay! But when children are murdered they go on a break or just dawdle and twiddle their thumbs. For murdered children they'll eventually get around to passing legislation "someday". I can't tell you how much I despise these people.
