That saying may be inspiring and encouraging but it's flawed and really amounts to nothing more than wishful thinking. If based upon observation then it's a tautology: "All of the truths we know about were not successfully hidden."

Actually, it was a notorious war criminal who got it right: "There are known knowns and known unknowns, but there are also unknown unknowns - things we don't know that we don't know."
