She is now under scrutiny by the J6 committee, which is investigating the insurrection.

What authority would Roberts have to call on the SC Marshall to investigate the spouse of a justice? She is a private citizen.

Roberts has no power to force Thomas to recuse himself.

Adam White, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where he focuses on the Supreme Court, said that, in general, previous criticisms of Ginni Thomas’s political work, as well as calls for the justice to recuse himself from participating in cases, were overstated and unfair. She should be allowed to have her own career, White and others have reasoned.

But, he said, the recent disclosures are “somewhat different because they pertain to a specific course of events that did give rise to Supreme Court litigation.”

“This does raise real questions about the need for Justice Thomas to recuse from future cases related to the Jan. 6 insurrection,” White said.

You’re going to say but Roberts can’t do anything. Is there a law against showing leadership? He’s certainly on this leak like white on rice.

It is obvious to all that they are not capable of self-policing or self-discipline.

The SC is too powerful to not have to abide by a set of common sense standards.

I think he has obvious gaps in his grasp of certain basic American realities but is fundamentally decent. That means little otoh if he is fundamentally weak.

...but until you have some form of evidence that Justice Thomas had a roll that would warrant an investigation, what his wife did isn't a matter for the Court.

IF he is going to vote or rule on any January 6th cases that his wife may have been involved with.

I'd say the same thing if a Democratic justice had a conflict of interest like this.

We're in new territory here.

If he rules in the insurrectionists' favor, all HELL will break loose.

It will get very, very UGLY.

It's almost certainly leaked from a right-winger trying to solidify the neanderthal base prior to the midterms.

a failure as a husband in not getting his spouse mental health (sarcasm).

The man is not and never was suited to be a USSC Justice. He got there by lying in his confirmation.

GOP Senators voted to confirm the Trump Justices knowing at the time they were lying in their confirmation hearings.

The USSC had a moral failure in 2000 that has never been repaired.
