LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The top five candidates in the race to be L.A.'s next mayor are facing off in a debate Sunday, right here on ABC7.

Congressmember Karen Bass, L.A. City Councilmember Joe Buscaino, businessman and nonprofit leader Rick Caruso, L.A. City Councilmember Kevin de León, and L.A. City Attorney Mike Feuer are participating in the live televised debate on May 1.

Wow.. right now at the cal state la mayoral debate, a group of CSULA students were just denied entrance. They arrived w/ their teacher for a project and was still denied. Why is a public university denying access to mayoral debate if they want to educate the public? This is wrong

This is the city of Los Angeles version of “public safety.” There was no disruption and four cops picked up Melina and pulled her out. All of this for a mayoral debate.

Dr. Melina is A PROFESSOR at the school!!!
