(54,075 posts)I had my DVR all set but then war in Ukraine put it on hold. I didn't want to see it in theaters due to Covid so I have been really looking forward to it.

(54,075 posts)When it came out I read that it would be on CNN sooner or later. Also, I am not a fan of Amazon anyway. I try to boycott them if possible.

(54,075 posts)CNN was scheduled to show it two months ago. They ran ads. Then that week the war in Ukraine started and it has been put on hold due to that. This was the first time it was on. Tony was a regular on CNN so that was his base and that is why they are showing it.

(4,841 posts)I was waiting for that and it was delayed and now it gets shown and I MISSED it?
I give up. The have been promoting it and then not showing when promised. I cant camp out on CNN waiting for it to be broadcast when they feel like it.
BigmanPigman
(54,075 posts)It will be shown once. On the West Coast it will air at 7 PM. Set you DVR so you don't miss it again.

(56,953 posts)But overall a good show. I thought the part where they showed his friends' reactions to his suicide to be quite moving. I loved when the artist defaced the mural.

(54,075 posts)And this was after he paid $300,000 to the kid who she raped. Then she lied about it too. She has no soul, she is a user and manipulator. It was an impulsive act.
I haven't watched the film yet but I have followed Bourdain since 2001.

(12,047 posts)The first two hours were full of the friends and travel destinations that showed his best, he really had it all.
Many were angry at the end. especially how his daughter was left without him.

(12,047 posts)Revenge rage, he wanted to hurt her, so, he killed himself? Also that for a storyteller to leave out a final note or explanation was also meant to huet, knowing nobody would ever get closure as to reason for his decision.
Toxicology showed no drugs or alcohol were present, he calculated his final act sober.
