⚡️ Poland to supply the U.S. with its entire stockpile of MIG-29 jets, free of charge.
The planes are then expected to be shipped to Ukraine.
The Polish government asked other NATO members to follow the countrys example.

Of course no telling how many active pilots Ukraine has left, they had 224 MiGs in 2014

(11,098 posts)2. Supposedly Poland has 27 MiGs. Definitely a booster.
They really don't need that many to supplement their already robust air defenses. So just these will help a ton.
(And any more from other countries would also be amazing)

Mostly old scrap planes, at least these are the updated models that hopefully carry NATO weapons, and ground crews to maintain them.

as they asked them to be replaced by US made jets, most likely used F-16's I'd guess.

The details of the United States backfilling had not been worked out so this sounds like the same bs we have been hearing for over a week ( I hope I am wrong)
