Malcolm Nance just quoted DU on Stephanie Miller's show!

I have to go back and look for it but he specifically said he’d read a post on DU on Trump and Ukraine. Anyone else able to go back and find it?

I’m a little geeky about Nance I’ll admit. But also love knowing we’re a presence. DU as a news source has always been a source of pride, I’ll admit.

A friend of mine whose opinion I valued very highly told me that he'd read it, but he wouldn't hold back if he didn't like it. He was no stranger to story telling, as the story of an important part of his life was once made into a film that was Oscar nominated and a Golden Globe winner (though it was anything BUT true to the real story). I told him I'd take my chances. His comments appear on the back cover. You'll see who I am talking about when you get it. The best comment I got, though, was from Spider-Man creator Stan Lee. That's the last one on the back cover. You'll see that one, too

Other than the "Agent Mike" jokes about surveillance here, there have been any number of times stuff from DU has turned up in interviews with some well respected folks. Our LBN forum is a huge resource because anything that appears there has GOT to be linked to at least one mainstream news source. You can read news here and have a reasonable expectation that it's going to be legit. Something else that has always been a huge plus, IMO, is the benefit of reports from DUers on the ground where stuff is happening. What you see happening might only be a part of the story, but it sometimes that offers an insight that is WAY ahead of the news cycle.

Some of our speculation can turn out to be wrong once more facts are available, but even that is often supported by opinions from some pretty well informed/educated people.

Take the interpersonal stuff out of the mix, and DU is a pretty handy resource if you are looking for information.

That he was reading a DU post this morning quoting the NYT as saying all those documents they absconded with was “no big thing.” It was in the context of his warning that Democrats have to take this shit seriously or we’ll fall into fascism by just that—not taking it seriously.

To be clear he was saying DU was sending out the same warning.
