What does this say about "decent people"?

HAPPENING NOW: Judge MEHTA is sentencing a husband/wife who were in the Capitol on Jan. 6. After describing their culpability, he also says they were "victimized" by others.

"You were told lies about election fraud, about the country being taken from you. They were lies."

"I think you are both decent people,"
Mehta says before sentencing them Zachary and Kelsey Wilson to 24 months of probation with 30-45 days of home incarceration.

and the stress of being indicted, arrested, and put through court proceedings has to be tremendous.

It is also possible that either or both was fired from their jobs.

A heavy price to pay.

These 2 are anti American Democracy terrorists and went to try to harm the Speaker. They belong in prison.

but the entire process might cause them to rethink their path.

Probably not, but one can hope.

And says that Trump's very words enraged citizens who believed him and acted on his lies accordingly.

That's called evidence. Of incitement. Against DJT.

Breaking and entering the Capital to overthrow the government should have a minimum 5-year sentence. Minimum.
