Ex-KKK Leader Running as Republican for Office in Georgia

Chester Doles—a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan, the neo-Nazi National Alliance and the racist skinhead Hammerskins gang—is running in 2022 for a seat on the Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners in Georgia.

Doles, 61, served four years in prison starting in 1993 after he and a fellow KKK member beat a Black man in Maryland. He served another four years in 2003 for federal firearms charges. He has claimed "misunderstandings or extenuating circumstances" in each conviction, The Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported.

He is a supporter of Republican former President Donald Trump and, like Trump, opposes Black Lives Matter (BLM) and the alleged teaching of critical race theory (CRT) in schools. CRT is a field of study that analyzes race and racism as social dynamics throughout history.

Doles said that CRT teaches "young impressionable children ... to be left-wing radical revolutionaries in the streets," the aforementioned publication reported. He said if white nationalists had led the BLM-related 2020 protests that sometimes turned violent, "we would have been under the federal prison for the rest of our lives."

I just realized that in all my days on earth, I never heard of anyone called Chester, except for in the movies.

The sheet is truly off, well beyond the figurative sense.

Doles is pure evil.

Loeffler showed her true self during the 2020 campaign. She’s evil trash too.

13. Her campaign team knew or should have known.

The Loeffler and Perdue campaign events were high security and mostly invitation only. There’s no way that Doles just happened into a campaign event.

In any case, she turned hard right to placate and court Trump and to appeal to his deplorable followers.

14. I give her credit for one thing though, and one thing only

She voted to certify the election. She did this after she lost too, so she had nothing to gain by casting that correct vote. At the time she said that January 6th made her vote to certify.

7. The country is in a very dangerous place right now, and there is a real possibility our democracy

may not survive

In a Washington Post editorial Dana Millbank in his last paragraph he summarized just how complicit the media has been in legitimizing racists, bigots, and sexists:

"We need a skeptical, independent press. But how about being partisans for democracy? The country is in an existential struggle between self-governance and an authoritarian alternative. And we in the news media, collectively, have given equal, if not slightly more favorable, treatment to the authoritarians."

I think this started when Bernard Goldberg who worked for CBS, came out with his book BIAS in 1996, which pushed the premise that "liberal bias pervades the MSM".

It was at that point I saw the shift. It wasn't about reporting FACTS anymore, instead despite what the facts were, it was giving each side a "legitimacy", even if one side was blatantly false.

10. This short paragraph tells you all you need to know about Doles:

In 2019, Doles described himself as a "fourth-generation Klansman." He told 11 Alive that he now denounces racism and blames his past actions on "youthful indiscretions."
