We just lost power. High winds, heavy rain, lightening and thunder, unusual for this area. Please stay safe, my West coast peeps!

(3,539 posts)As my house is all electric, I now cannot cook dinner until the power is restored. And my only source of heat is the cat on my lap. Nice kitty!

(47,940 posts)Raining like crazy, and I almost couldn't open my car door because of the wind. I'm so happy for the rain, but I have to worry that people in the hills may have their houses slide.

(3,539 posts)The rain and wind have slacked off for now. There are leaves everywhere but no trees down in my neighborhood. I hope that's the end of it but probably not. This storm is huge. 😱

(6,261 posts)Lots of rain, wind, and noise but nothing worse yet. I haven't bothered to reset the clock yet as I expect the power will go out again soon.

Apparently it's due to increase later, more rain than I've seen in years.

(23,504 posts)I do worry about flooding and mudslides, but if those are limited this is huge for the whole region. Not only ending fire season, but filling the rivers and streams to flow to the big reservoirs to replenish them.

(3,539 posts)And it's 8 pm. So, I'm down the road at the local pizza joint in Orting. No chain, locally owned. I'm having a veggie deluxe for dinner. Beats going hungry
