Eric Clapton refuses to play venues that require proof of vaccination
Clapton says he wont perform for a discriminated audience after vaccination passports made mandatory for clubs and venues this autumn

Eric Clapton has said he will not perform at any venues that require attendees to show proof of vaccination.
In response to the government announcement that vaccination passports will be required to access nightclubs and venues by the end of September, the musician has issued a statement saying he would not play any stage where there is a discriminated audience present.
Unless there is provision made for all people to attend, I reserve the right to cancel the show.
Clapton shared the statement via the Telegram account of Italian architect and Covid sceptic Robin Monotti. It was accompanied by a link to Claptons anti-lockdown collaboration with Van Morrison, Stand and Deliver, in which they sing: Do you wanna be a free man / Or do you wanna be a slave?
In May, Clapton shared his negative experiences of receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine through Monottis Telegram account, claiming to have experienced severe reactions that left him questioning whether he would be able to play the guitar again.

those shows shut down before long. His only chance for a successful tour would have been universal vaccination and passports.
When I first heard he was touring, I was hoping to catch a show at Spokane or The Gorge in WA. Not now. No way.

Overrated is right.
He has talent, but the blues greats from my day and my parents day (MANY of whom my late parents KNEW) would play his racist ass up under the table. Hell, he can't carry a Jimi Hendrix guitar case.
I don't know what the hell B.B. King saw in him that made him love him so much. But then again, what did B.B. see in racist ass Lee Atwater? For me, music certainly is all about bonding, and it is also about building bridges, but not with racist pieces of shit it isn't.
