Tucker Carlson calls Barack Obama a 'creepy old guy' for urging Americans to get the COVID vaccine

Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Monday called former President Barack Obama "a creepy old guy" and attacked him and other public figures for promoting COVID-19 vaccines.

Obama recently filmed a public service announcement for Yahoo News in which he encouraged vaccination. A short version of the PSA was posted on Yahoo News' TikTok account, targeted to the platform's predominately young users.

"I want to talk about you getting yours," Obama said. "The vaccine is safe, it's effective, it's free. I got one, Michelle got one, people you know got one. And now, you can get one too."

During Monday night's show, Tucker called the PSA encouraging young people to get the COVID-19 vaccine "a creepy little video telling small children to get the shot."

Creepy little video? How so? What was creepy about it? No explanation, just a stupid comment to Tucker's White Supremacist audience.

He's telling your "little kids"? President Obama clearly said, "Now that everyone 16 and older is eligible for the vaccine, it's time to get yours".Little kids are like 5 to maybe 10. They CAN'T get the vaccine yet so NO, President Obama is not telling "little kids" to get the vaccine. He is telling people who are 16 and over to get the vaccine. Does Carlson think that 16 year olds are "little kids"? Is he that out of touch or is he intentionally being an asshole?

He is DEMANDING that you get the shot? President Obama, powerful as he was as the President of the United States, has NO authority to DEMAND anyone do anything. He is encouraging young people to get vaccinated. You can argue that President Obama is putting social pressure on Teens to get the vaccine, using his celebrity and former position to make the ask meaningful, but DEMAND?

You can't "ask questions"? Says who? You know what happens when you sign up to get the vaccine? YOU get asked a ton of questions. Then YOU get to ask any questions you want to the medical professionals that will be giving you the vaccine. Then you get a shit ton of information available where others (lay people, experts, etc...) have asked a bunch of questions that you may or may not have been thinking of about the vaccine. They make you take that information before the shot AND after the shot. You can ask whatever the hell you want. The expectation is that you are asking in good faith and with the purpose of getting the best available information. Tucker just asks questions to be a dick. For the purpose of sowing doubt, even when the actual answers are readily available.
