CNN or MSNBC should challenge Fox News to a debate.

I’d like to see a debate between some of the anchors on each network.
It would be simulcast between the two participating networks.
Each network would provide a three person panel.
A mutually agreed upon moderator and real time fact checker would be used.
The topics would include media political coverage, truth in media, bias in media, etc.

For Fox 🦊, they would use their three big gun prime time propagandists.
CNN or MSNBC would pick their three smartest and quickest thinkers on their feet.

Fox: Hannity, Carlson, Ingraham
CNN: Keillar, Lemon, Cuomo
MSNBC: Wallace, Maddow, ODonnell

This idea seems like something that CNN would more likely do than MSNBC because CNN doesn’t have to answer to a higher power for an ok like MSNBC does with NBC.
But, I’d be thrilled to see either network do it.

The two participating networks would agree to promote the simulcast for about a week.
Should be great ratings and I think the Fox people would be exposed as nothing but shills and their audience would be exposed, many for the first time, to opposing sound intelligence.

They would just stick to their talking points and gish gallops, and it would be pointless unless there were neutral fact checkers or debate moderators, which Faux News would never agree to.

13. Yes and they should be challenged as lies. That's the whole point.

Our country has devolved into two complete different sets of facts depending upon the media they consume.
My idea, if for only one hour, challenges that.

14. I get your point but those that worship Trump have their alternative facts and I don't

think one of them can be convinced otherwise. They have been brainwashed to block out any opposing view.
I live in the reddest part of Ohio everything is fake news you could show them a video with Trump
calling all his followers rubes and they would say it was faked.

6. Sure, if that monkey 🐒 had the huge viewership that Fox does.

It’s a good way to reach viewers who only consume Fox.
Let them see another viewpoint that is sound and reasonable.
Give them something to mull over.
Sure most would be watching rooting for their team. But some might get another viewpoint for the very first time.

7. For those pushing back, what about this scaled back idea.

Just one CNN or MSNBC person calls out on the air and challenges one Fox person to a debate.
I’d love to see Don Lemon vs Sean Hannity or Rachel Maddow vs Tucker Carlson.

Remember that these Fox people have HUGE egos and just might take the challenge.

8. It would be garbage... like a senate hearing where each Republican speaker

would just bloviate using random right wing sound bites. And these ramblings would be pasted together into a self-reinforcing supercut of burning garbage.

Definitely need the fact checker and so on and someone to make sure they actually address the questions asked otherwise Fox would just lie and go off on unrelated tangents based on their talking points.
