I haven't seen this answered anywhere and maybe there is not enough data to know the answer yet, just wondering...

(106,556 posts)But my brother (who is a medical doctor) said that things are seeming to point in that direction, though it looks like the new vaccines will work on the new variants that have emerged including the British, Brazillian and South African mutations.

(63,221 posts)I suppose that is good to know. Instead of one shot a year, we get two. It will be the new normal. It will take some getting used to, but I think we can handle it for the good of society.

(128,789 posts)vaccines can just switch out one RNA for another so it is quick to get the vaccine to the public. I don't know how quick but that may explain why Pfizer is retooling its factory in Europe this month so to increase rate of production. They may know we are going to be in a long battle.
