How will Trumpists ever come to know the truth if they watch only propaganda?

A couple family members who are still rabid Trump supporters refuse to watch any mainstream news, and rely completely on such sources as Fox and Newsmax. How is the truth ever going to get through to them?

I ask them to watch abc, cbs, read USA Today, anything - no dice. They say they won’t read the liberal press because it’s all lies.

And if I try to talk about current events they cut me off and talk over me as if it’s painful to hear reality.

I was told by my father that troops are not needed in DC, it’s all a liberal plot to make Trump look bad.

How do you deal with that much bat guano crazy? I’ve decided to just kind of take a break because I can’t deal with it.

If it's family, just love them for what they are and avoid any actual discussions.

They have no interest in my life, they just want to use conversation to be snarky and I’ve about reached my limit. Not to mention he was abusive to me when I was a child too. Sometimes you just think, the heck with being a dutiful daughter, I just want out.

You don't have to put up with that abuse anymore. Walk away and know that you can't change them or their behavior. If you do have to talk to them and they mention politics, just let it go. You don't have to let them cause that kind of stress.

the consequences in the real world for their leader's words and actions. If Trump is tried and convicted by the Senate, and prohibited from holding future office? If Trump and his family and cronies are jailed for crimes and misdemeanors by the states? A glimpse of cold, hard reality might just break the fever dream they're been living for years.

18. Time will tell. My son and DIL (daughter-in-law) won't watch mainstream news

because it is FAKE NEWS! So, no way they see anything that resembles the truth until they finally realize what they've been watching is so ridiculous it cannot be supported any longer. That's all I've got. It's similar to trying to get someone to change their religion.
