Lots of social media takedowns of the materials they posted, excuse making, and they sure did disperse pretty easily after 7 or 8pm once they realized the whole thing had gone mammaries up. Certainly after Pence and McConnell restarted the Arizona objection session by basically calling them disgraceful idiots, they understood that the coup attempt had failed.

One of the most striking things about yesterday afternoon for me was the neutrals coming out on social media absolutely infuriated and disgusted by it: the people who aren't usually publicly political but were hopping mad about the Capitol takeover and posting about how despicable it was. These aren't the people who are usually shut out by partisan filter bubbles on your socials. It was bad. When Unvcle Jim who usually just posts about the Iggles and Phillies games is calling MAGAs assholes on Facebook, the coup is in smithereens.
