That doesn’t seem like a good idea at all.

It boils down to they either know how far the walk was, or they had already ridden the bus. Can't have it both ways.

Seems like safety is better option and walking is safer right now.

You're right. It is not a good idea. I could have been more clear; the attendees knew what they were buying into. Whether busses were ever there or not wasn't a problem, the attendees would have packed them. Those choosing to walk, well, somewhere someone forgot that you can only walk halfway into a forest.

If they would keep the virus themselves, I wouldn’t care what they did. Unfortunately, they leave and spread it to innocent people. I hate that most!!!

But when the rally ended, the busses couldn't get there or didn't get there due to bad planning. Left the people (many are elderly) stranded in the cold (around 30 degree and in the dark). They started trying to walk to the parking lots while made it worst because they blocked the road for rescue and busses heading their way.

First, why is the president holding a re-election rally, funded by our tax dollars, in Omaha, Nebraska?

Second, why is the president encouraging thousands of people to gather together during a global pandemic? Why does he discourage them from following the advice of his own health agencies?

Poor logistics seems like a given.

I think I read that they began busing people from the parking structure to the rally location three hours or more before he rally began - but rather that realizing it would take at least that long to bus them back, they did not plan on that amount of time plus all the people leaving the parking structure once they got to their cars, causing traffic problems.

I also read that people were complaining that it took two hours for the buses to get back after the first trip out. Uh, yeah, see my first paragraph.

As with anything connected to Trump, badly planned, poorly executed, and probably underfunded - if they funded it at all.

To the Hospital. Walking in the dark and cold police picked them up. Finally got buses.

A bus for me, but not for thee.

And I will not post that 1980s Raffi song for kids and afflict ear worms on DU.
