(96,043 posts)That something like this was going to be schemed out was inevitable. If not this, an assault on some other prominent Democrat, or a terrorist attack on some polling place or government facility.
These people talk only to themselves, and so form an exaggerated idea of both their popularity and their prowess.

(96,043 posts)Sporadic terrorist actions by these armed right-wing gangs during November.
I suspect law enforcement authorities by and large to remain loyal, and quash the terrorists, white as ever they might be. Particularly at the Federal level. Small-town cops are another matter....

(15,888 posts)He's against democracy herself and claims that he's empowered to enforce only the laws he agrees with. He seems to think that some laws are meant for certain people and to other people, it does not apply. I can't believe he actually got this far past the primary.

Gov. Inslee and Loren Culp debate crime, coronavirus and climate in Washington gubernatorial debate
Let the free, individual citizen decide whats best for their families and their businesses, he said.
...Culp has never run for elected office. He served four years in the Army, started a construction business and, at age 49, changed careers to become a police officer in Republic. He is currently the police chief and only officer in the 1,100-person town.

There's a lot of white trash in rural and small town Michigan. Where you see the stars and bars flying like it's fricking Alabama. Not really surprised although I would be surprised if they were capable enough to actually carry it off without screwing it up.

(15,434 posts)Fox 2 Detroit reported that the men are all Michigan residents, except from Croft. Croft and Fox are accused of meeting with roughly 13 others back June 6 in Ohio to create a society dedicated to the Bill of Rights. Their interpretation of the Bill of Rights allegedly included the kidnapping of a sitting governor, as well as talk about murder.
