Takei shares some truths

A person who only claims to understand the seriousness and danger of a pandemic after it affects him personally lacks any empathy and has no business being in public office, let alone as our president.

Plus, that person’s an assh*le.

A conservative says, "It hasn't happened to me, so I don't care."

A liberal says, "It shouldn't happen to anyone, that's why I care."

We’re not going to any change whatsoever. He’s still a malignant narcissist. Plus, if he really has Covid, he’ll boast that he survived it. Don’t expect any change.

about the virus since being at Walter Reed, but apparently not enough to keep him from driving around in an SUV for a photo op.

Even without being sick, it would have been justifiable to remove a president from the WH for his safety after people working there came down with a deadly virus. The spreader event with ACB was not the first time someone near him was positive for covid. A medical facility like Walter Reed would have been a safe place away from exposure while being checked for signs of illness. Walter Reed staff might even have gone along with a story that the president was actually ill in order to not reveal that he really just feared getting the disease, which in Trump's mind, would be an admission of cowardice.

But instead, he exposes himself to the illness through deliberate carelessness in order to appear tough and unafraid, and then actually gets the disease and HAS to go to Walter Reed for treatment.
