2. Those of us who are tuned in to American politics are happy for you

but for us too, because we realize how vital a strong, democratic USA is to the world. A lot of people don't understand that, but most think Trump is a buffoon and will be saying he's getting his just desserts now.

3. Most world leaders wished Trump well. Vladimir Putin seemed to be the most sincere about that.

Boris Johnson expressed sympathy, while Macron sounded businesslike.

The only biting comment I heard came from China. People in glass houses...

Secretly, they all want him dead, with the exception of the dictators who have something to gain from him being in power.
